John A. Merecki
John Merecki’s practice focuses on patent prosecution. His technical experience includes electrical engineering, physics, computers and software, and mechanical devices.
Since 1991, John has been involved in representing domestic and foreign independent inventors and large corporate clients relative to their patent procurement and strategy. Prior to joining Hoffman Warnick LLC, he was a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, specializing in the speech processing arts, including speech coding, speech recognition, and speech synthesis. John also served as a patent engineer at Agfa Corporation, where he worked closely with inventors to identify, prepare, and prosecute patent application in the United States and Europe.
As the inventor of U.S. Patent No. 6,295,388, entitled “Method for Selecting an Area of Full Resolution Image Detail for Viewing During Scanning,” John has a unique understanding of his clients’ excitement and the challenges of inventing and obtaining patents.
