David E. Henn
David Henn’s practice includes patent application preparation and prosecution, opinion work, and client portfolio counseling. Dave brings strong technical experience to clients in the areas of power handling equipment/software, gas turbine engines, MEMS/semiconductor technology and packaging, axial and radial turbines and compressors, and photolithography. Dave has also worked with clients in the fields of electrophotography, internet applications, optical metrology, electrohydraulic automatic transmission control systems, space vehicle fuel control valves, water purifiers, laser gun sights, and laser pulse weapons. Dave represents clients ranging from independent inventors to large corporate entities and gained experience from government service, private practice, academia, and in-house practice.
Dave has over 30 years of experience in the intellectual property field, starting at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington D.C. where he was a U.S. Patent Examiner. He joined Hoffman Warnick in 2010 and scaled back to part time work from 2013-2022 while General Patent Counsel of Key Systems, Inc. and rejoined Hoffman Warnick full time in 2022. Through the years, Dave has prepared hundreds of patent applications and dozens of opinions.
